JailbreakCon 2012 will most likely be the greatest jailbreaking convention among existing. Today we've got even more exciting news - the whole bunch of top iOS hackers confirmed their attendance to the conference. Those are: pod2g, Pimskeks, Saurik, Rpetrich, p0sixninja, iH8Sn0w. Last year's MyFreatFest in London was the first jailbreaking conference. Numerous Cydia devs and important jb community members were attended to it. Cydia creator Saurik (Jay Freeman) was among the attendees. This year the conference will be named JailbreakCon or WWJC (Worldwide Jailbreakers Conference). The alternative name sounds painfully familiar to WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) - annual Apple's conference which will take place on June 11. JailbreakCon 2012 will be first of its kind and will occur on September 29. It will run from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (PT). It's expected to be much bigger and interesting than MyGreatFest in many ways. RedmondPie reports that the central figure behind latest Absinthe 2.x iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak - french hacker pod2g confirmed his presence on the conference. Actually, he did it twice: a week ago at the HITB conference and then once again the message appeared in JailbreakCon's official Twitter:
Just confirmed with @pod2g that he will not only be speaking but also doing a hacking workshop @JailbreakCon this year
The event's date comes closer and closer. The date was chosen pretty clever because as you may know the iPhone 5 release is rumored to happen somewhere near September-October. The other big event - iOS 6 launch is tied up closely to the new iPhone release. That's why the JailbreakCon 2012 might be exactly the right place for hackers community to draw their swords in search for new firmware exploits. Besides, pod2g claimed to have some parts of iOS 6 jailbreak. As the majority of tickets is already sold out you should really speed up if you want to grab one for yourself and your friends. That's a great chance to dig into jailbreaking world for the whole day and also gain some useful info on developing tweaks and mods with help of different exploits as well as learn the world of hacking. Here's the link where you can bid your ticket. Tell us what you think of the conference? Would you like to attend to it? What can we expect from folks that will gather there? Will they produce the new jailbreak or even new permanent unlock for our precious Apple devices? Tell us in the comment section below.
