iPhone and iPad who had jailbroken their devices probably ask "Can I run Redsn0w on Mountain Lion". Those who managed to move to a new operating system, Mountain Lion, can breathe a sigh of relief. Dev Team has confirmed that Redsn0w is fully compatible with the latest Apple-OS. The latest version of Redsn0w is 0.9.14b2 and it works perfectly on Mountain Lion and all the public versions of iOS up to 5.1.1.

For those who have upgraded to the new platform, the hackers posted instructions to launch RedSn0w on OS X 10.8. According to the Dev Team, to open the application for the first time you need by holding down Ctrl. From the official iPhone Dev Team blog:
Update # 1 7/25/12: Redsn0w compatible with the operating system released today by Mountain Lion OS X 10.8. But until we begin to use the official developer ID Apple, you have to use a new method to run the application the first time after boot - command Ctrl + Click + Open
The rest of jailbreak tool works just as well as on OS X Lion or Windows. I'll remind you that last stable version Redsn0w fixes work of a program for modem firmware 06.15.00 downgrade for iPhone 3G/3GS, so that users who encounter an error, can fix it using Redsn0w 0.9.14b2. If you're an early adopter of Apple technologies and managed to install iOS 6 beta 3 on your iDevice, you can also jailbreak it using Redsn0w 0.9.13dev3 which was created specially to open root access on the most recent Apple's iOS. However, the jailbreak works with some restrictions. You can't install most of the jailbreaking apps on the device as they weren't developed and tested on iOS 6 beta.
