All iOS 5.1.1 users are waiting for untethered jailbreak. And today we have news that new Absinthe v2.0-rcl was developed to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered. Also here below you can watch the video with Absinthe v2.0 in action. This news came from hacker @xvolks who was a friend of pod2g. He tweeted that he had tested iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak using Absinthe v2.0 on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. Look at what he wrote: absinthe v2.0 for iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak absinthe v2.0 It points that the public release of iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will come soon. As for me I'm glad that the jailbreaking tool will be Absinthe because we had a good experience with previous version of Absinthe that untethered jailbroke iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. It was very quick and easy. So I think that there will be no problems with Absinthe 2.0. Update: Untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak is here and you can download it now! Also here you can watch a video where xvolks demonstrates how he perform iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak on his iPhone 4: As you see from the video above Absinthe 2.0 is almost the same as its previous version even more easier to perform. As you may notice there is no need to enter DFU mode and mess with VPN settings and it is great. Now all they need to do is to test Absinthe v2.0 on all other version of iGadgets and release it to the users.
