ChromeURL Cydia Tweak adds a usual Safari keyboard instead of awkward Chrome one. For some strange reason Google Chrome browser did not include standard keyboard access key to first-level domains. Instead, it uses some kind of misunderstanding, which hardly can be considered as useful. For those who do not like this situation, ChromeURL tweak was released. It copes the task very well and after installing and rebooting springboard you can use a familiar browser-based keyboard. Chromeurl cydia tweak So if you have already downloaded and installed the Chrome browser for iOS you have noticed for sure that the standard keyboard is pretty weird. The main problem with it that you don't get the TLD shortcuts or the top level domain shortcuts. Normally, when you tap and hold the '.com' button you'll get a pop-up that lets you choose the other domain like .net, .org, etc. The new jailbreak tweak called ChromeURL. Tweek is available in Cydia within BigBoss repo for free, and is certainly useful for those who is not satisfied with the existing keyboard layout of things in Google Chrome. Once you install this tweak the usual Safari keyboard will be right there. No settings and nothing to adjust at all. When you want to enter an url ending with either .net or any other top level domain different that .com - just type in the site's name into the address bar and tap&hold the '.com' button on the virtual keyboard. You'll see the available domain variants right away. Once again - if you'd like to have that old-style Safari keyboard in your Chrome browser for iOS just head over to Cydia store and get the ChromeURL for free. By the way, in my opinion the tweak brings one of the few Safari's advantages to much faster and nice-looking browser by Google. What do you think of this keyboard? Does it look more convenient for you or you'd rather stick to the Chrome native? Tell us in the comments below.
