Sprint Nextel has been renamed to Sprint Corporation by SoftBank. This Japanese company has completed its buyout and is now the official owner of the U.S. wireless carrier. Both providers are third-largest mobile operators in their home countries. Isn’t it interesting? Author's Note: If your iPhone is locked to Softbank and you are looking to unlock it, you can make an order right now and enjoy any other Sim card around the world. This Japanese company has been working on this deal since last fall. The U.S. shareholders get $16.6 billion. Another $5 will be invested by Japanese carrier into the future projects. So the whole deal is worth $21.6 billion. What do experts say about this purchase? SoftBank Sprint Deal There are reports on Reuters that assure SoftBank will expand wireless capacity of its new privacy. According to Ron Fisher [SoftBank’s Vice chairman who is going to be Vice chairman of the Sprint board of directors], they will use spectrum purchased from the Clearwire and do everything to deliver good service to customers. We believe that Sprint 56 million consumers will see great changes in the future. Faster speeds will surely come to their devices because 3G network can’t boast to be consistent and reliable while LTE rollout isn’t that fast. New Opportunities We have no idea how soon the new plan will be implemented and what exactly the Japanese owner will do with its U.S. purchase. Rumors say there are no immediate plans but there is a desire to beef up the American operator. There will be no personnel changes, assures the purchaser. So No. 3 American operator will keep its workers, according to Reuters.
