A Little Bit of History

HITBSecConf was founded by Dhillon Kannabrian in 2002 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. First it was only in Malaysia and gathered Malaysian security specialists. As of growing of members HITBSecConf moved to Dubai and in 2010 to Amsterdam, Netherlands and became the largest internet security conference in Middle East and Asia Pacific region. HITB Security Conference is the meeting where a lot of security specialists and hackers from around the world gather together. The main goal of this conference is to share, discuss and disseminate network security information. You can find there defense and attack methods that you have never seen before and meet with security professionals, hackers, researchers and just enthusiasts who want to take part in this worldwide conference. According to official site of HITBSecConf it lasts for 4 days with 2 days of intensive practical sessions and then a two-day conference with either 3 or 4 concurrent tracks including a practical lab session (HITB Labs) and 15 minute lightning discussions (HITB SIGINT). Besides the conference tracks, you can also meet with open-to-public technology and exhibition area, lock picking villages, hackerspace villages and Capture The Flag competition (CTF).
