Some informed sources say that the soon-to-release iPad mini tablet will be a self-contained product, and not a miniature copy of the existing device. According to the well known Japanese publication Macotakara claims that a large supplier of certified accessories stated that Apple in the "last moment" changed its mind and changed the iPad mini design, so now all of the outstanding cases, screen protectors, and other add-ons are not suitable, because the changes were shaped device and it will get completely new design. Accordingly, all models previously released on the internet would likely not match the tablet. Japanese blog does not report any details about the changes in new design and changes in iPad mini dimensions, screen, shapes and panels, but it claims that the company had to suspend production accessories. iPad mini launch is considered as a response of Apple to gradual rise in popularity of portable and more affordable tablets with 7 inches screen.
