Something happens around Apple. The company has only begun to recover from its Dev Center breach when a new problem appears. This time it is related to iTunes, another Apple product. Its activation servers aren’t working that good and can’t satisfy all the visitors for the couple of hours. What causes this blunder? Will it become even worse? Will the fruit giant manage to solve the problem in time before everyone gets frustrated with its work? How could it happen that the servers can’t handle a lot of users?

iTunes Activation Problems

The company’s servers experienced similar problems in the past. But those issues were related to the new smartphone releases. It happened in 2009, 2008 and 2007. But it never occurred in mid-cycle. It is not known if the problems with activation have anything to do with the Dev Center being down for a few days. Everything you can see for a while when you are trying to activate your iPhone is the message that says “the activation server is temporarily unavailable.”

Activation Servers Issue

Is there anything you can do? According to the Cupertino-based tech giant, users should simply try again to connect their iDevice to iTunes in order to get an activation or take another attempt in a few minutes if this doesn’t work. Bloggers were first to mention that the activation servers issue. Someone even called iPhone maker to find out what was wrong and heard that the servers are down. The company doesn’t say when this issue is to be fixed. Users who are trying to activate their iPhone today add posts to Apple forums but can do nothing at the moment. Be patient and wait. Hopefully the servers will run again sooner than it happened with the Dev Center which was down for too long.
