An hour ago I wrote a guide on how to downgrade iOS 5.1 to iOS 5.0.1 and 5.0 on iPad, iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch using iFaith. (The full guide you can find here). But this method is not working on iPad 2, because you can downgrade iOS 5.1 on iPad 2 to iOS 4.3.5 and below. So I decided to write you a guide on how to downgrade iOS 5.1 to iOS 4.3.5 and below. If there is no untetheredc jailbreak for iOS 5.1 this is a good chance to downgrade your iOS and jailbreak it easily. All you have to do is to follow my guide and make all steps in the proper way. Before we start you need to save your SHSH blobs in Cydia using TinyUmbrella. In case you don't know how to do that then use this link and perform this. Downgrade iOS 5.1 to iOS 4.3.5 and below

Step 1. Download iPSW of the firmware you want to downgrade t: Download iOS 4.3.5 and below here. Step 2. Now connect your gadget to the Mac or PC and put it into DFU mode using RedSn0w (find Pwned DFU in Extras). Download RedSn0w here (latest version) Step 3. Now you have to edit your hosts file. Go here: Windows => System 32 => driver => etc on Windows and the same on OS X. Save it somewhere and use Notepad to open it. Step 4. On the bottom of the hosts file add this:

74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Step 5. Next open iTunes and select your gadget. Click Restore holding down Alt on Mac or Shift on Windows and find your iPSW which you have downloaded in the first step. Step 6. Where iTunes error pops up the fix it here. After that I can say that you have just downgraded iOS 5.1 on iPad 2 to iOS 4.3.5 and below. Now it is possible to jailbreak iPad and other iOS devices.
