Just over a month before launching the major iOS 9 update Apple offers iOS 8.4.1 public release. This is only a minor release with some bug fixes that also patches the exploits used by the two jailbreak tools that support iOS 8.1.3 – 8.4 firmwares. It solves some issues with Apple Music app that was officialy unveiled with iOS 8.4 launch last month and adds some other enhancements to Music and iCloud Music Library. Nothing too important and you can still install this version if you like to update to newer firmwares right after their public launch. Users who prefer using OTA-update option can get the new firmware right from their iPod, iPhone or iPad. You can also get the firmware from iTunes or use direct iOS 8.4.1 links we’ll provide in this post. You might want instead wait for the big iOS 9 release as this firmware should offer not only bug fixes but also a number of wonderful features that are not available in version 8.4.1.
