RedSn0w 0.9.11b1 couldn’t support 9A406 version of 5.0.1 for iPhone4S. So you were needed to download it too. But not long ago iPhone Dev team released updated version of the tool – RedSn0w 0.9.11b2. This version brings fixes for that problem and now you can downgrade even 9A406 version of 5.0.1 for iPhone4S. It is great news. As MuscleNerd wrote on his twitter account that this fix would come with new version of RedSn0w. But who might thing that it would be so fast.

Redsnow 0.9.11 b2 for Windows Redsnow 0.9.11 b2 for Mac Update: There is a new version of RedSn0w 0.9.11b4 (download) that can be used in iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak on A4 devices (iPhone 4, iPad, iPod 4g). If you’re using SAM unlock on iPhone 4S then I advise you don’t use this downgrading method. Simply because this method updates the newest iOS firmware with bsaseband and only than it downgrades to the lower iOS. But if you use temporary SAM unlock then your baseband shouldn’t be updated. Also you have to know that this downgrading process is impossible if you didn’t have save SHSH blobs of the version you want to downgrade to.
