Some iPhone users haven’t updated to iOS 7 and 7.x firmware because they are waiting for hackers to release iOS 6.1.3 / 6.1.4 jailbreaking program. Others have chosen to upgrade but with SHSH blobs saved just in case the new exploit is to be launched soon. We have some news about iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak status update and we’ll share them with you.
iH8sn0w is a hacker who is believed to work on the new program release. He is now in need for volunteers with the latest Apple tablet and iPad mini with iOS 6.1.3 installed on the device. According to developer’s Twitter, the iOS 6.1.3 /6.1.4 jailbreak is being worked on. He just needs to check it on more gadgets.
This most recent iOS 6.1.4 jailbreak status update is reassuring. As the hacker states it is necessary for kernel payload to get static offsets. The result should be awesome as most iDevices will have their untethered binary. For now the binary exists for A4 iDevices, he mentions.
Right now users with iPhone 4 / 3GS and iPod touch 4 generation can perform only tetherediOS 6.1.3 jailbreak.
If iH8sn0w finds people who are eager to test the jailbreaking utility on their iPads he might be able to get kernel dumps for these Apple tablets and release iOS 6.1.4 / 6.1.3 jailbreak tool that supports iPad mini and iPad 4.
Users with iPhone 5,1, iPhone 4,1 and iPhone 5,2 will be glad to hear that their gadgets are already supported by the exploit developed by the well-known hacker. In other words, the binary is believed to be working for iPhone 5, 4S, 4 and 3GS models.
There is no information when the untethered jailbreak for v.6.1.3 and 6.1.4 is to be launched officially. The status update makes us believe it should happen this year. iH8sn0w continues his work and the Evad3rs hackers’ team is trying to develop iOS 7 jailbreak.
