The US Patent and Trademark  issued a new patent to Apple, which may indirectly confirm that the new smartphone iPhone 5S will have fingerprint scanner. Documents disclosed that the fingerprint sensor will be integrated directly into the surface of the touch screen of the phone. It is rumored that Apple delayed the launch of iPhone 5S due to manufacturing problems associated with a fingerprint reader. Sources reported that the smartphone is the seventh generation was to debut in July, but the release of the product had to be moved in the fall.

The introduction of the sensor will provide an additional level of protection for the iPhone and iPad. Thus, when a finger touches the screen lock can automatically scan your fingerprint. The device will be enabled only if the user is recognized as the rightful owner. New Apple patent technology can be used in mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad and iWatch to provide and reading biometric characteristics of a person, even at some distance from the sensor. The patent emphasizes that the scanner can be integrated directly into the LCD gadgets.

It is believed that the new lock screen of iOS 7 is gonna be much different then traditional slider "Slide to Unlock". The operating system can be aware of this feature of the new Apple smartphones and tablets, as the built-in fingerprint sensor.

In other words, we have yet another confirmation of the rumors about the appearance of a fingerprint scanner in the next generation of Apple devices.
