According to reliable sources the next major release of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 8.2 launch date will be not this month but is planned to be on March. The new update will contain all of the frameworks required in order for Apple Watch to function. Due to this fact the software has to come to our iPhones before or alongside the Apple Watch that will hit store shelves this April. The reports say that the public will see iOS 8.2 ahead of the wearable device, being available for download in March.  As iOS 8.2 launch date is not settled, it can mean that the upcoming update could be launched just a week or so ahead of the Apple Watch, or over a month, depending on the specific Apple Watch date of release. Tim Cook has recently stated that the wearable device will be launched in early April, but he did not narrow down the month-long timeframe. It is not clear why Cupertino company might choose to release the new update ahead of the Apple Watch, as it is heavily focused on iOS the device aside from some bug fixes and minor improvements to the iOS 8 software. Cupertino giant has already pushed five iOS 8.2 betas to developers, and the most recent beta was launched just yesterday. To look in the near future the net Apple's software update will focus mainly on enabling Apple Watch apps and other functions. Tim Cook stated that he was positively impressed with the amount of developers creating app experiences for Apple Watch and the innovation taking place.
