iPhone Dev Team give to us the possibility to try to
downgrade iPhone 3GS iPad baseband. You can downgrade 3G as well. All you need is to get Redsn0w 0.9.14b2 here from the direct links.
Not long ago I wrote the news that
MuscleNerd had promised that he would try to release downgrading solution soon. And now this time has become and you can easily to download RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 for Mac and Windows.
I have already
written you a tutorial where you could use Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 but this tool didn't work on some iPhone 3GS and 3G models. Many users stated that they could not to downgrade iPhone 3GS iPad baseband.
Important for unlockers: 06.15.00 baseband is widely used for iPhone 3G / 3GS unlocking with ultrasn0w tool. However now it became easy to factory unlock iPhone. But if iPad baseband is installed on your device you will face with No Service even after official unlock. It caused by such baseband, so only downgrading will
fix No Service and open your device for any SIM card.
The reason was in different types of NOR chip on 3GS. First beta version of Redsn0w 0.9.14 "covered only the most prevalent NOR chip". iPhone Dev Team members
made an update on their blog where was told that they needed iPhone 3GS models with other types of NOR chip. And thanks to @healeydave and @dilbert4life who gave their iPhones to MuscleNerd and his team made a success in iPad baseband downgrading. So if your chip is different you can do nothing with your iPad baseband till today. This updated version of Redsn0w can downgrade is working on 3 different types of NOR chip.

Note: On Windows you should Run the tool as Administrator.
Note 2: If you're using iPhone 3GS which was released in early 2011 or later - DON'T MAKE THIS DOWNGRADE because it will harm your device.
Note 3: If your iPhone is running iOS 6 and above you will need to use Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 following the guide below.
In case you are trying to fix No Service issue and your iPhone is not running 06.15.00 bb you will need to
restore iPhone in iTunes and order factory unlock.
Using this updated Redsn0w tool you can downgrade iPhone 3GS iPad baseband much easier that it was before. Don't worry about IPSW identifying and Cydia unchecking requirements during the downgrading process.
Also Redsn0w 0.9.14b2 brings new feature that can put your iPhone into DFU mode automatically.
