Instaquotes-Quotes Cards for Instagram Virus App

One of user on Apple forum noticed that after downloading the application his anti-virus found worm "Worm.VP-900" within its filesystem. In the next post test application was tested by Symantec company iAntivirus utility was discovered that Instaquotes-Quotes Cards for Instagram contains two executable files, which are harmful:
instaquotes.ipa / Payload / Instaquotes.app / FBDialog.bundle / FBDialog / bundle.exe
instaquotes.ipa / Payload / Instaquotes.app / FBDialog.bundle / images / images.exe
The most likely cause of the virus appearance in the application is considered that the computer on which development was made has been infected with the virus. This worm is outdated, was created back in 2009 and the majority of antivirus apps can handle it with ease. Virus is completely harmless for iOS devices, however you can use antivirus app for iPhone, but you should refrain from downloading this application in any case. If you have already downloaded it, I'd recommend to delete it from your iDevice. As far as the downloaded .ipa file is a package the inner files can be extracted with such package manager as Pacifist and scanned through more accurately. That's what CNET says about the further process:
Aftreward, other malware programs like Sophos that initially missed detecting the malware instantly picked it up and described it as “Mal/CoiDung-A,” a worm written in visual basic that installs files within the Windows system directory and then modifies the Windows registry to execute the malware when the system is restarted.
The developers said that they were aware of the situation and noted that they worked on the creation of applications with some freelancer which they already contacted to resolve the problem and release an application update. By now the Instaquotes-Quotes Cards for Instagram app was pulled out from the App Store.
