Apple made an official comment on the reports of a security in the operating system iOS, which allows attackers to use an arbitrary number in SMS from the sender. Apple announced that iPhone users can prevent SMS spoofing messages using iMessage service in which there is an additional recipient check. When using iMessage instead of SMS, it verifies the address, which prevents phishing attacks spoofing the sender address. One of the SMS features is that it allows you to send messages to any phone with a bogus address. Therefore, Apple recommend users to be extremely careful when you go to unknown websites or addresses received via SMS. And that was Apple respond to this SMS spoofing hack in iPhone iOS.
