Can you imagine that Apple grabbed 33 percent of market share in South Korea where Samsung’s home turf if? Yes, such results were reached in November, 2014. This is over 18 percent plus to what Apple previously had in this country. You can guess that Samsung dropped its market share in its home country and got 46 percent instead of 60 percent as it used to have before the official release of iPhone 6 models. As noted by experts, this is the first time in the history of mobile device industry in Korea when a foreign brand goes over 20 percent market share mark. Apple managed to grab 51 percent of market share in Japan and 12 percent in China. These numbers are impressive as the company left behind Sony and might soon overrun Xiaomi and Lenovo.
