This guide will show you how to create and host your own repository or create iPhone repository and import existing sources from other repository, by using iPhone Repository Editor v.2.00. The benefit of using this software is you don't have to install any Linux OS. All techy work with repository could be done using any version of Microsoft Windows.

How to Install iPhone Repository Editor v.2.00

Step 1: Download iPhone Repository Editor archive file.  Create folder Repo then unzip the program into the folder:
C:\Program Files\Repo
Step 2: Search for the Repository Editor launch file called ipre.exe. Start ipre.exe. When you run the program on your machine for the first time, the Repository Editor will create all the necessary command run paths and customization files. After this step you should have two new folders:
  • Local: all of your repositories for the web-server will be located here.  So you can upload your new packages  to the Internet by coping them to this folder
  • Repositories: to store or backup all your external repositories from the "Local" folder
If you download any zip package from the web, it will be automatically saved in Zips folder. Note: After this step your php.ini config file should be created in main folder (c:\Program Files\Repo. Here is the list of settings you can change it ini file.
  • disable the built-in mini web server (server.active = 0/1)
  • enter the settings for your external HTTP proxy server
Step 3: Next, you need to create a list of external repositories. To add the repository to the list, click Add Repository menu or press Shift + F4. Enter the address of the resource (eg /repo) and click OK. It will download the selected repository to local host. After download is complete, the resource will appear in the repositories (sources) list. If you are geting error messages: check this website again. Then try to add source one more time. Step 4: To remove a repository from the list, select it and then delete using the Delete Repository menu item or by pressing Shift + F8.  Step 5: To search for a program (package), select Repository menu => Find or press Ctrl + F. Enter the name of the program and click Find Next. Step 6: To save the repository or backub from other source, select the name of the repository and select the menu item Download All (Ctrl + A). Step 7: To move the selected program to the local repository, place a checkbox next to your archive. You can also select all files (click Check All Packages) or remove the entire selection (Uncheck All Packages). After you mark all the files to transfer, select the menu item Repository Update checked to (local). Step 8: To add an entry in the local repository, select the menu item Package => Add Package (F4) or Import Package.
