Nowadays iPhone makes our life much easier then it was before. But if you are using jailbroken iPhone then you have a great advantage before other mobile devices. Jailbreak opens doors before a lot of possibilities which you can use for unlock for example. But the main point in this article is gonna be - how to save .deb files from Cydia to the computer. Mac or Windows – no matter. In case you don’t know, .deb files is the Debian Package files that Cydia uses for its apps. You can use these files again if you after restoring your iPhone to other firmware. But there is one problem. Your files after restoring will be deleted because your iPhone will lose jailbreak. Requirements

• First, as you might guess, you need your iPhone (iPad, iPod Touch) to be jailbroken.
• Second, you must do is to install afc2add from Cydia (this will require you gadget to be rebooted)
• And the third is to install OpenSSH from Cydia.

How to Save Cydia .deb Files

Step 1. Open any SSH software client you got, like WinScp or just simple Terminal if you are using Mac OS X or Linux. Step 2. Now ssh into your iDevice and navigate to:

/Root Directory/var/cache/apt/archives

Step 3. Launch Cydia and find ANY app in Search, then install it. And don’t close Cydia after installation process. Step 4. Now copy .deb file to your PC. Now you can close Cydia. As I said that after closing Cydia deletes all .deb files in Archive folder that come from the apps. Step 7. To install these saved files just go to AutoInstall folder. If there's no folder, then create it:

/Root Directory/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall

Step 8. Now reboot your iPhone. Also you can use iFile to auto install .deb files on Mac or Windows and use them too. And that is all that you have to do.
