iOS 9 new update popup message has been noticed by developers and public beta testers who are registered in Apple Public Beta program. The Cupertino-based company has been testing the upcoming software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch during the summer and this September users started to see the notice about new update being available for download. At the same time Apple didn’t release any new iOS 9 beta download ipsw files past or this week. This seems to be the glitch that makes users know about the mysterious update however when they hurry to Settings and choose Software Update option they are disappointed to see no OTA upgrade option being available to them. The official dev site also has no information about possible updates. This could be a glitch that is present because Apple is getting prepared for the iPhone 6s official introduction and upcoming iOS 9 Gold Master date release. Will the company offer the final iOS 9 beta launch before or after iPhone 6s public presentation? The company could surprise everyone and roll out the GM version right on September 9th. This is the date it will introduce everyone to the new generation iPhone 6s and 6s Plus along with other ‘fruit’ products we’ll see this fall. Could Apple launch iOS 9 GM on Labor Day? It is unlikely to act this way. Devs and public testers are enjoying the holiday and won’t be testing and working on this day. Since iPhone 6s and 6s Plus official release date is believed to be September 16th [and these two models will arrive with iOS 9 preinstalled on them], Apple might launch GM version right after the official introduction on September 9th with the official release before September 16th. GM is always the final build of the ‘fruit’ operating systems that is followed by public launch.
