My iphone 4s is locked to sprint US i am running on iOS 5.1.1 gevey sim ultra s. Everything works fine. I stay oustide the US , i even have the original sprint sim card. But i am facing unlock problems due to bad ESN. Please advice on this

    • Andy McGee August 19, 2012 at 08:30

      Have you tried gevey supreme?

  4. Andy August 18, 2012 at 19:15

If your iPhone is locked to sprint that's mean that ESN isn't stored in Sprint data base. That's called "bad ESN"

    • Andrew August 19, 2012 at 05:45

So if I get you right it'd impossible to unlock if you have "bad ESN"?

      • Andy McGee August 19, 2012 at 08:18

I think no, because if your ESN is bad that means that your iPhone ESN/IMEI is blacklisted (reported as stolen, lost, outstanding debt) in the network’s (sprint, verizon, CDMA) data base. That’s why I don’t think that it can be done. But you can always try SIM unlock.

        • Vellie August 20, 2012 at 09:03

Andy are you sure he is right because sprint and Verizon sim cards don't even have a sim card slot

        • Andy August 20, 2012 at 09:22

Yes it is true because it is not about verizon or sprint Sim Card . It is about ESN number located under the battery of your iPhone or other device. And some network services have this number listed in data base.

        • Andy McGee August 30, 2012 at 17:38

It is possible to unlock BAD ESN by using officialiphoneunlock.co.uk service but only if your are using your iPhone in US for now. I think that in the near future it will be possible in other countries too.

  8. claude September 19, 2012 at 05:44

"it is not possible to unlock your IMEI as it is not in the Apple iTunes database for whatever reason."
This is a mail from officialiphoneunlock.co.uk
Why IMEI iphone is not in the apple iTunes database?

    • Ndrey September 19, 2012 at 05:59

The reason can be that your iPhone was refurbished, for example, processor chip from one model, baseband chip from another

  9. UnlockBoot September 19, 2012 at 10:08

I think that factory unlock is the best solution.

Hi I have an Verizone 4s, imei 990001017601899, can anyone help me how to unlock this?

  31. David June 3, 2013 at 08:53

I read an interesting thread about a solution, which could be used, even if you don’t have a saved activation ticket on your iPhone, but with SAM:

If you got an other unlocked iPhone, same type, same baseband, same patch, then you could install SAM their, save the activation ticket through redsn0w and just backup it to the other, locked, iPhone.

I’m trying it the whole time, but I don’t get it. Could you maybe find out if this is possible and make an other manual for that? That would save me many money unfortunately, IMEI unlock for T-Mobile in Germany costs 100 $…

    • Ndrey June 3, 2013 at 18:12

I\’m sure this method won\’t work because every iPhone has its unique activation tickets. If you really need to unlock your iPhone you can make an order here: bit.ly/1aXjat9
