There are so many tweaks that rearrange your home screen these days and it's good that you can reset iPhone's home screen easily. That's actually very good news because if you've changed your screen in various ways there's a chance that you will finally mess up ending with something that doesn't look like desktop at all. Just remember what Dashboard X can do with your SpringBoard. Reset iPhone's Home Screen This is a one of Apple's firmware built-in features and probably you know about it but I'd like to create a small reminder about this option's existence. It's actually very handy because it does that time consuming icon rearrangement for you. If you have such apps like GridLock or Dashboard X installed on your device and you missed your classical home screen view so much - there's a way to go back in time and 'virginize' the SpringBoard. For doing that do as follows:
  • Go to Settings ->General->Reset.
  • There you will find 'Reset Home Screen Layout' button.
  • You'll receive a prompt with confirmation request. Tap 'Reset Home Screen Layout' to confirm.
  • Now go back to your home screen to see it's reset state.
Of course there's nothing new about this option but this guide will be useful for those who's new to jailbreaking and wants to use a little shortcut while resetting your app icons' positions. It might sound funny but lots of folks didn't even know that this option ever existed. Please note that this method doesn't change any jailbreak stuff. That's for people who are scared of loosing some tweaks or apps like by hitting Stock Apple Reset button. This function will also arrange all the installed apps in alphabetical order what is super-convenient for guys who have like eight or even ten pages filled with apps. Did you know about this method before? Have you ever used it? Please let us know if you found this tutorial useful and don't be shy to share it with others.
