Do you like to travel a lot? It’s so interesting to go sightseeing when you are coming to the new city or country. Having a handy application on the iPhone can be helpful and time saving. The latest title I have discovered so far is Visit Museums free iPhone museum tour app that is designed for travelers. How good is this program? I can’t say it’s perfect. It is not. The idea is cool but it’s not implemented the right way. It does provide you a list of museums in your area but you can’t get details on the place you wish to attend. Sadly, the program gives no directions. It would be so much better if Visit Museums gets cooperation with Apple Maps giving the ability to get the address and detailed directions on how to get to the places of interest in the foreign or unknown city.

The program gives you the link to the museum site if one exists. It’s not enough as you can always Google such information about the well-known places of interest. At the same time, this app is free to download. You pay nothing for getting the information so you can give it a try. Are there any other iPhone museum tour app apps for people who like to visit museums? I’ll name some titles but they don’t offer too much. You can get Museums of the World app for iPhone or download Where To? program that costs $2.99. The last application gives users a big list of museums even though this is a navigation program.
