A lot of users had iOS 8 GMT problem that prevented them from using the stock Calendar application. The issue has been reportedly fixed. Some iPhone and iPad users have already shared their impressions on the web. As noted by some users, they no longer see iOS 8 GMT Calendar bug when they launch Google Calendar. The same information has been twitted by this application developers. What was iOS 8 GMT bug about? It just entered your time zone and secondary time to your Calendar event and this led to confusion among users as their iDevice couldn’t sync properly because of the incorrect time / time zone. Were all iPhone users affected by the iOS 8 problem? No, not all people faced the issue. It mostly occurred to users who were using Google Calendar and Microsoft Exchange while working in the iOS Calendar program. This was an unpleasant problem, but no app updates were released to fix it. It looks like Google did something on its backend and the problem has been gone for a lot of people. It is worth to mention that the new iOS 8.2 beta 5 released by Apple for developers for testing also seems to solve the problem with GMT bug. The issue still exists and but it affects a smaller number of users. Maybe Microsoft will also roll out something on their backend to fix the bug for Microsoft Exchange fans.
