While Google try to improve its Maps app before Cupertino company will find something better for its application, Apple try to updat its brand new Maps app in iOS 6, because the company has caused a lot of criticism and even force the head of Tim Cook to publicly apologize to customers. According to users of the new Apple Maps application on iPhone, they notice improvements which shows a new map service from Apple. If we look closer, update is seen in a Flyover 3D maps view of urban landscapes. For example, viewing the Statue of Liberty in New York and other areas in the city you will find volumetric shapes. Also it is said that latest system for images permits to create 3D models from the pictures which were taken from an angle of 45 degrees automatically. The company rented the whole fleet to take the picture to have better Apple maps quality. In the result Apple receive 3D cityscapes and measurable increase. Roofs and walls of houses, streets and trees are clearly visible. Also users report about the expansion of areas in New York, Los Angeles and London where Flyover operates. You may know that 3D map view is based on C3 Technologies which the Cupertino company bought last year. Now Apple has a new maps for many cities in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including London, Prague, Barcelona, Venice, Milan and Oslo. It is expected further expansion of new Apple Maps covering in the near future .
