iOS 8.4.1 Jailbreak Pangu Demo Shown

Right now iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak Pangu is not available to public yet. The teams of hackers from China are working on finding new exploits and untethering the most recent iPhone firmware released by Apple and they even showed the demo version to users already.

Thus, iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak demo is reportedly created by Pangu hackers. We know that both Pangu and TaiG cannot support 8.4.1 version right now. Apple patched the exploits used in these two programs and users cannot run the tools on the most recent public operating system updated for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users.

It seems that everyone who attended HackPwn2015 conference in Shanghai last week saw the iOS 8.4.1 demo jailbreak running on iPhone 6. It was presented by Pangu group of hackers. The team also shared information on Weibo account however it assures that iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak won’t become public right away because everyone is waiting for iOS 9 update. This would be the major firmware upgrade and if Pangu iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak becomes available before this release Apple could patch the new exploits and make iOS 9 jailbreak impossible for a while.

TaiG group of hackers doesn’t update users about their search for new exploits. These guys might be also finding new holes in Apple code and also waiting for the 9 version public release before offering any new programs to public.

If you have already installed iOS 8.4.1 on your iDevice you can no longer downgrade to 8.4 since Apple stopped signing this version. All you can do is wait for the new untether programs to be launched this fall and jailbreak either 8.4.1 or the new iOS 9 mobile firmware when the new tools become available to ordinary users.

What firmware version are you running now? Have you upgraded to iOS 8.4.1 or are you still using previous iOS 8 or even earlier iOS 7 platform?

Is It Possible to Downgrade iOS 8.4.1 to 8.4?

Is it possible to downgrade iOS 8.4.1 to 8.4? This is an important question now since Apple officially released the new mobile firmware version [here are direct iOS 8.4.1 download links for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch] and this version cannot be jailbroken right now because the company also patched the exploits found in 8.4 and earlier releases.

Users who accidentally upgraded or restored and were forced to update to 8.4.1 might like to downgrade in order to re-jailbreak and continue using different iOS 8 tweaks and tricks on their smartphones and tablets.

It was possible to downgrade iOS 8.4.1 to 8.4 for a short while. However this option is not available to you since Apple stopped signing iOS 8.4. The Cupertino-based giant signs only one or two firmware versions as the moment. It quickly stops signing the previous release once the new one is offered to public.

A week ago the ‘fruit’ giant was signing both iOS 8.4 and 8.4.1 and users who managed to install 8.4.1 version and decided they would like to get back to the previous one – were able to do this without any issues. This week however the situation changes since the iPhone maker stops signing 8.4 release.

The information about iOS signing status is available at ipsw.me. These statuses are important for users who like to stay jailbroken which is mostly possible on earlier versions and not the most recent Apple updates. For example, you can jailbreak iOS 8.4 with TaiG and PP Jailbreak but you cannot use these programs to untether 8.4.1 version.

Hackers might find new exploits and jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 as well however it might happen only after iOS 9 official release everyone is waiting for. The iPhone maker should offer a new lineup of smartphones this fall along with iOS 9 update.

Will Apple Car Be Launched?

The rumors about possible Apple car launch get new ‘food’ to digest as the Cupertino-based giant hires another specialist for its Special Projects division. This time the ‘fruit’ giant hired ex-senior engineer from Tesla Motors. In other words, its secrel Project Titan might be presented even sooner than more of us expect.

The well-known iPhone and iPad creator [it is expected to soon unveil iPhone 6S with Force Touch option] is working with a lot of engineers and its Special Projects division can boast well-known professionals who used to work with major automakers. There are no details about the projects though so we can only read what rumors state and think that the smartphone developer wants to get involved into the vehicle projects.

Previous reports mention other professionals who are now working for Apple but used to work for Volkswagen and other great companies that make cars.

Apple vehicle development might be just the field where the company is adding its firmware and programs to cars. However, the fact that iPhone maker has already entered the mobile payment market and is rumored to think about creating its own virtual mobile network in the U.S. – it could just as well appear on the automotive industry and offer its own car models.

The Project Titan is so secret that there are no leaks that could point on what Apple is working on and hoping to bring to public in the future. Will we see a self-driving vehicle developed by the Cupertino-based company or a car driven by iOS 9 iPhone or Apple Watch? Or is self-driving option just the testing option?

The rumors are just rumors and we have no idea what surprises the ‘fruit’ company is preparing for its millions of fans.

We’ve heard about iPhone 6s Force Touch option that might be available for both 6S and 6S Plus versions, new and better camera specs, improved A9 processor and other details about the unannounced gadget. Still we didn’t hear where iPhone 6s launch date could be announced by Apple.

The latest reports mention the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium as possible place for the Apple special event. Is this the place where the company is planning to introduce its new iPhones in San Francisco in the fall 2015 or not?

It could be truth. There are different reports about possible event date. Some sources promise everything to happen on September 9th and others mention September 11th and 13th dates. Anonymous sources assure that the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium was books for one private event through September 13th. It is believed to be patrolled by SFPD officers however no one says what private event is about.

The high level of security deployed and ‘familiar dates’ could really mean that this is where Apple is going to unveil the new generation handset lineup. Every year Apple is finding new places for official introduction of its iPhones.

The company will soon send the first invitations and this is when we all will learn the truth. Right now it’s still time for rumors and predictions. The iPhone 6s is definitely in the production now and it will soon be presented for public and officially released sometime in September.

We still know that Apple likes to introduce smartphones at different auditoriums in San Francisco so the September 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th or even 13th could be the day when we hear about the brand new 2015 iPhone model.

Apple Watch Apple Logo Disappear Issue

The pretty expensive cost of the Apple Watch models caused a lot of customers ending up getting the most affordable Sport model. Everything looks pretty good even for this device until recently. Some original wearable owners complain about Apple Watch Apple logo disappear problem.

It’s not that great to own the original Apple device and see that it has no logo and text on the back that used to be there a couple of months ago. Pictures posted online show gadget with letters peeling off them. You can even see the metal underneath however this doesn’t seem to be a common problem for all Watch Sport users.

Apple Watch no Apple logo will be definitely a big issue for those users who might want to resell their wearable eventually. Customers who get pre-owned devices like to have the logo on the back as this is the guarantee that the smartwatch is original and not fake. Without the logo and with metal being exposed it might be impossible to resell the device.

Most complaints are from users who have the space gray Apple Watch Sport versions. There might be some gadgets with incorrect anodized backs that let lettering along with Apple logo to get unstuck. Right now we have no idea what could cause such peeling procedure to start.

Users have spoken with Apple support. It looks like Apple could replace such models at no additional cost and examine the issue. If the company finds the root of the bug it will be able to fix it and not repeat in the next generation Watch 2 release that is rumored to come next spring. The company is now testing WatchOS 2 firmware that could allow developers use wearable’s features in their applications.

Do you have any problems with your Watch, especially if you own the Sport model?

iOS 9 Maps Get New Transit Directions Feature

iOS 9 Maps application gets new upgrade from Apple. The company is trying to improve its program by adding transit directions to this tool. This means that iPhone users could enjoy more options while using Maps.

Travelers will get more information about trains, ferries, buses and subways thanks to iOS 9 Maps transit addition. The feature is enabled and the Cupertino-based company listed the main sources that provide details about transit options. According to the iPhone maker, it added 20 sources however most of them share information about one city only. This doesn’t bring too many cities to the list yet however users should expect more sources to be added in the future and bring more cities to the Maps for transit directions.

Thus, news mentions that iPhone owners who are going to Germany will be able to get transit data for Berlin city. It should be provided by three different sources. Some cities get even more sources at once. The new feature will also work in New York City, Toronto, London, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington DC, San Francisco and Mexico City.

The public release of iOS 9 platform for iPhone 6S, 6, 6 Plus, 5 and other models will bring even more major cities where traveling will become so much easier and simpler with the iDevice. Apple will absolutely keep adding more titles to the list to make its Maps more popular and demanded by customers.

It’s not a secret that the original Maps launch was a big fail. However the ‘fruit’ giant didn’t give in and still improves the program to offer more features to users. It is working with several providers so the information should be more accurate now.

iPad Pro 2015 Release Date Rumors and Specs

iPad Pro 2015 release date is not settled down yet. Apple is expected to present the new iPhone 6S lineup this fall. Experts mention September 18th as possible pre-orders day or official launch date. The same month Apple could possibly start the production of iPad Pro 12.9-inch models that might be launched in October-November or in early 2016.

The rumors come from the well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo who is focused on Apple products and predicts a lot of interesting things that later turn to be true. This is a reliable source of news about the Cupertino-based company’s plans and product lines.

It is believed that the new iPad Pro will get the display from Sharp company. It looks like this firm is added to the ‘fruit’ giant’s supply chain and begins to produce 12.9-inch displays for the future generation tablet gadgets.

Foxconn will also participate in the new device production. It should work with touch modules, device assembly and lamination, according to Chi-Kuo. He also thinks that Apple would still release the iPad Pro with 12.-inch screen from Shart in the fourth quarter this year and not postpone this launch to the next 2016 year when it could unveil the new generation Apple Watch 2.

The iPad Pro could get Force Touch display technology. Apple already brought it to the Watch and some Macs and is rumored to add it to the iPhone 6S / 6S Plus versions this fall. Still we don’t know when customers could get this upgrade and if it is introduced in time for Christmas 2015.

What new Apple devices are you expecting this year? Are you excited about upgrading your iPhone to the newest versions and get iPad Pro with Sharp screen?

Tweak iOS 8 Messages to Get New Features

The amount of great tweak iOS 8 Messages offered by Cydia store is huge. You can customize your iPhone the way you like once you jailbreak it. Luckily, the earlier versions of this mobile platform can be jailbroken with TaiG and PP Jailbreak. Apple killed the exploits used by these two tools in iOS 8.4.1 release. Users who accidentally upgraded can downgrade iOS 8.4.1 to 8.4 while the Cupertino-based giant is signing this platform version.

While it is not clear if iOS 9 could be jailbroken in the fall or sometime in winter [it takes hackers longer these days to develop and test the new jailbreak], a lot of users won’t hurry to upgrade to this OS while they are running iOS 8.4, 8.3 and earlier versions and have Cydia store on their home screen.

iOS 8 Messages Tweak Convos Features

If you wish to get more options for Messages on iOS 8 iPhone you can download one program from Cydia. It is called Convos and it costs $1.29 on the BigBoss repository. If you are ok with this price, install it on your iDevice to see what it offers.

Go to Settings where the new pane is available with extra options. You can configure the tweak and change your Messages interface. It’s pretty clear what the tweak can do since all the options have a description underneath.

It is possible to mark your messages as unread / read with a simple swipe gesture and pin conversations to let them stay at the top of your list. The fresh new appearance of the program also looks cute [you can change background colors, date labels and other parts of Messages with ease]. It is also possible to sort your conversations alphabetically and timestamp.

Apple Watch Custom Faces Possible Due to Hacks

WatchOS 2 is being tested this summer. Apple has this firmware for its wearable devices available only as beta. Developers continue to explore its functions and options and ordinary users are waiting for the final release that should bring more Apple Watch hacks and tricks and allow customizing the Watch.

The ‘fruit’ company that saw how easily and quickly hackers find ways to jailbreak, hack and change the iPhones and iPads decided to create the Watch as ‘locked’ down gadget. Since the code of the Watch apps is running on iPhone and only displayed on the Watch it is pretty hard to customize this wearable and spread its wings.

apple-watch-custom-face-watchos-2

Still the new watchOS 2 seems to offer more freedom than watchOS 1.0.1 [here is how to find Watch UDID in case you need this]. At least hackers were able to create Apple Watch custom faces on this beta operating system version even before it went to public.

One dev, Hamza Sood, likes to hack the Watch. He first managed to add Flappy Bird on this ‘fruit’ smartwatch and now adds different colors and animations as watch faces. The new changes are performed on the beta watchOS 2 platform.

Apple could finally allow developers to create third-party apps for its Watch, run the code on the wearable and take advantage of its features to make better games and apps. This still hasn’t happened so the opportunity to customize at least some parts of the system sounds great.

Once the new OS rolls out more users can enjoy custom faces on their Watch. Who knows, maybe by this time the ‘fruit’ giant will make this a public option and not the opportunity opened up by hacking its watchOS 2.
