iPhone 6s Battery Life Compared to iPhone 6

How different is iPhone 6s battery life compared to the previous gen smartphones? Apple rolls out major iDevice upgrade on September 25th. This is the date when two new models will be officially released to public and appear on the store shelves. There were many rumors about the ‘s’ battery capacity and life. Here is what we know about this.

Battery life has always been a big gripe about Apple smartphones. Customers don’t want to charge their devices several times a day so most people dream about the powerful battery capacity that can last for over 24 hours or even a couple of days. The previous iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models got a lot of features however their battery life isn’t that awesome even though Apple brought a bigger battery to these gadgets a year ago.

iPhone 6s vs iPhone 6 battery also gets some changes. Firstly, the 2015 model gets a smaller capacity battery compared to iPhone 6. Secondly, the 6s models get exactly the same battery life as the iPhone 6. Apple only offers the new battery saving feature on iOS 9 platform but it doesn’t improve the battery life on the iDevice itself. Besides, since the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus get the 3D Touch technology that requires some space – they both get even the smaller battery than the previous handsets.

Luckily, the Cupertino-based company enhances the A9 processor power efficiency and this way the battery life of 2015 iPhones is very similar to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. You can see that there is not much to expect regarding the new Apple battery because the ‘s’ lineup of handsets gets the same concerns about the battery life as the 2014 models.

It looks like the iPhone 6s Plus is slightly better in terms of battery life than the iPhone 6s. If you are planning to upgrade iPhone 5s or older gadget to the newest one – you better get the 6s Plus version.

iOS 9 Jailbreak by iH8sn0w on Video

Do you remember P0sixspwn and Sn0wbreeze jailbreaks for iPhone? The same hacker iH8sn0w managed to discover iOS 9 jailbreak untethered and show it on video. We just heard from Pangu team of hackers that iOS 9 jailbreak release date is unknown because Apple patched the exploits found for iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak. The news from iH8sn0w mean that everything is possible on the new iOS 9 version.

There is still no confirmation about iOS 9 jailbreak release date because the holes found and used by iH8sn0w work on iOS 9 GM version. Apple launched the Golden Master release of its iOS 9 beta this week however the public launch of the 2015 mobile firmware for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad is planned for September 16.

You can watch the video with iOS 9 jailbreak iH8sn0w running on it. This is the GM version as there is no official release yet. The Cupertino-based company unveiled all the plans for the fall 2015 during the special media event ‘Hey Siri’ on September 9th.

The company will start taking pre orders for the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus on September 12. These tow models will appear on the store shelves on September 25. iOS 9 will go public on September 16.

The untethered jailbreak demonstrated by famous hacker doesn’t require re-jailbreaking each time you reboot. As iH8sn0w notes, the iOS 9 is very similar to iOS 8 internally still it has new things added.

A couple of jailbreak teams are working on untethering iOS 9 to public. This gives us higher chances to see the public iOS 9 jailbreak release sometime after the official firmware launch. Keep in eye on updates offered by hackers and know when you are able to untether your iDevice to get more tweaks and tricks and customize it.

iOS 9 GM Download Available Already

A lot of experts thought Apple would offer iOS 9 GM download links right after the ‘Hey Siri’ special event. The company did just as predictions suggested. The company presented the final beta version of its new iOS 9 firmware to devs and it is already available for download.

Users who were testing iOS 9 betas during summer can use iOS 9 gold master download option through OTA update or directly from the Dev Center [you should be registered with the official Apple Dev Program and have registered UDID in order to test the ‘fruit’ firmwares before they are unveiled to public].

Public Beta testers might also be able to download iOS 9 Golden Master release that is available as 13A340build. This brand new platform should soon become public. We’ve heard Apple could launch it on September 16th.

Users will get a lot of new features once they update to iOS 9. It is unclear if hackers can jailbreak it right away. Pangu team already reported that their exploits found but not released for iOS 8.4.1 firmware were already patched by Apple in iOS latest betas. This means more time is required for finding new holes in the ‘fruit’ mobile OS code and thus the jailbreak will most likely be released later in 2015 or early 2016.

So those of you who can’t wait to see the GM iOS 9 version could download the update from Apple. Since this is the final build of the iPhone firmware you might want to just wait for the company to present the official public version. By that time the App Store will have many apps compatible with iOS 9 and you’ll be able to play games, download applications and discover all the great features this mobile OS brings.

If you are planning to pre-order iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, your new phone will come with iOS 9 pre-installed on it.

iOS 9 Jailbreak Pangu Report about Kernel Vulnerabilities

Will there be iOS 9 jailbreak tools once this firmware becomes public? Famous Pangu team of hackers who found exploits in iOS 8.4.1 code talk about the upcoming platform and voice their most recent discoveries.

The news isn’t too reassuring at the moment because it mentions iOS 9 jailbreak impossible state. Pangu demoed iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak earlier this year and they believed the program would also support iOS 9 version however Apple is believed to already patch the vulnerabilities the Chinese hackers were using.

iOS 9 jailbreak Pangu option might be still available once Apple releases the firmware upgrade. It could take some time for hackers to find new exploits and kernel vulnerabilities in the Cupertino-based company’s code.

Pangu published an online report where the team mentions some of the kernel vulnerabilities it discovered in iOS 8.4.1 code. According to hackers, this code has a bad quality. Apple has reportedly patched all the holes in iOS 9 mobile firmware code. If this is true the jailbreak tool developed by Pangu couldn’t be used on the upcoming version of iPhone and iPad OS.

Will there be iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak release? Hackers could present it if it happens that the program doesn’t support next operating system.

The news published by Pangu states that at least two of the three kernel vulnerabilities found in 8.4.1 code are already patched in iOS 9 beta. The final launch of this next mobile platform is planned for this or next week. This version will be pre-installed on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus that should feature special 3D Touch screen with Force Touch technology, better cameras, more RAM, improved battery, maybe new rose gold color and other specs.

Are you impatiently waiting for iOS 9 untethered jailbreak or would it be enough of the stock Apple features that arrive with this update?

3D Touch Technology to Come to iOS 8 iPhone

Does it sound fun to have 3D Touch technology iOS 8 feature? iOS 9 iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will get the Force Touch option however if you have an older model you won’t be able to use it even if you upgrade to the upcoming Apple iOS 9 platform. At the same time you are able to bring 3D Touch to iOS 8 iPhone.

You need to be running iOS 8.4 or earlier 8 firmware version since you have to be jailbroken in order to use iOS 8 3D Touch feature [it is based on Force Touch technology]. Cydia developers are working on the special tweak that should bring the new interesting feature to older Apple gadgets.

If you are already jailbroken you should be careful with what you download and install. Use only trusted sources otherwise you might be forced to restore to iOS 8.4.1 or future iOS 9 and lose the jailbreak. Hackers are surely trying to find new exploits and untether this platform but they might need more time to succeed.

Dev Elias Limneos wants to bring 3D Touch option to iOS 8 gadgets [watch his video on YouTube]. It won’t be exactly what Apple adds to iPhone 6s and 6s Plus [for example, your phone will not distinguish between light and hard taps]. Still the new Cydia tweak should add 3D Touch shortcuts and actions to your phone. This way you’ll be able to click on the Phone application icon and place a phone call or use other shortcuts to make the experience better.

Just look at the soon release Limneos will offer and install it on your iPhone if you are jailbroken. This source is trusted and iOS 8 3D Touch shortcuts might look cute and nice on the older iPhone 5, 4S or other model.

iPhone 6s Storage Size: Which Model to Get?

iPhone 6s storage size might be a problem for potential customers [this new phone gets Force Touch screen feature]. Of course, users are used that Apple is offering the 16GB models however they still believed that company would go away from this size in 2015 and offer the 32GB version instead. Unfortunately this hasn’t happened and you will still see the 16GB iPhone 6s on the store shelves.

Great that there is not 8GB version still the three iPhone 6s storage options Apple is offering might not be enough for millions of people. The Cupertino-based company will sell the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s. Such storage capacity doesn’t wow you especially since the ‘fruit’ giant makes 4k video recording possible on its iDevices.

You should not go for the cheapest16GB iPhone 6s model if you are planning to store games, photos, apps and create videos. You will simply run out of storage quickly and have to delete extras. Such a purchase will frustrate and annoy you too much making your unhappy.

The 64GB and 128GB storage space iPhone 6s cost more money. This is true. However such devices also offer more storage and make it possible to store more information on your iPhone. The price difference is another factor to consider.

Thus the no contract SIM free iPhone 6s with 16GB space will cost $649. The 64GB model will be sold at $749 and the 128GB one will be priced at $849. The 6s Plus models will be sold at $749, $849 and $949 respectively.

The price does look high however Apple should offer the new program to customers [please note that the iPhone 6s battery might disappoint you]. The company will sell its new unlocked phone through installment plan. If you are a music fan who plays a lot of games and takes many photos / creates videos – you should definitely get the 128GB phone.

If you are using the smartphone for surfing the web and making phone calls you’ll be ok with the 16GB version.
