7 Days More for R-Sim 4 Launch Day

More then week have passed since I wrote you about R-Sim 4 launch day. But it didn’t come. And the main question: “When will we see R-Sim 4 hardware-based unlock for 04.11.08 iPhone 4?” is still relevant today.

Update: R-Sim 4 has been just released. Read about this here. Also go here to know how to use R-Sim 4 unlock.

It looks like it is a big conspiracy between Apple and software-based unlockers. I’m telling this because there is no unlock for 04.11.08 from them too. Gevey team gave up in trying to produce Sim card for this unlock. So the last hope is to wait for R-Sim 4 launch day and unlock the phone.

Unlock Baseband 04.12.01 Method

If you are looking to unlock baseband 04.12.01 there are some bitter news for you. A week ago Apple released the newest version of iOS – 5.1 to the public. The hackers society already warned everyone who would like to jailbreak or unlock on that iOS to stay away from it and stick to safe iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak. Those iPad 2 and iPhone 4S owners who want to save their jailbreaks should beware of iOS 5.1 because there’s no way to downgrade from iOS 5.1 to iOS 5.0.1 or iOS 5.0 even in case if you have your SHSH blobs saved. The reason is simple – Apple company stopped signing older firmwares on pointed devices.

Unlock the iPhone 4S Using R-SIM [How To]

Rather than waiting for free Ultrasn0w unlock for the iPhone 4S, it is better to buy R-SIM (SIM interposer) in order to unlock iPhone 4S basebands on iOS 5.0.1 and iOS 5.0. R-SIM is another Turbo SIM Card that can unlock your device and allows you to use it on any suitable GSM network worldwide. R-Sim card isn’t suitable for 3G network at the moment. GPRS works perfectly, however.

R-SIM doesn’t require to jailbreak your iPhone 4S as well as change the normal SIM card. There is no need to cut the SIM card. Simply insert the SIM card and then insert the R-SIM in your iPhone. After that, select your country and provider.
